Arrival at Bentota
Day 1
Arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo our services begin here, you are greeted by our travel facilitator or Tour Director, you are then driven to your hotel in Bentota where you are assisted with your check in. Start by visiting the famous Bentota Beach, which stretches for several kilometers and offers golden sand and clear waters. You can relax on the beach, indulge in water sports such as swimming, snorkeling, diving, and jet-skiing, or simply take a leisurely stroll along the shore. Take a boat ride along the Bentota River to explore the mangroves, small islands, and lush greenery surrounding the area. You can also go for a river safari, where you may spot wildlife like crocodiles, monitor lizards, and various bird species. Get a close encounter with sea turtles at the Kosgoda Turtle Conservation Center. This project aims to conserve and protect endangered turtle species by providing a safe environment for their nesting and hatching. You can learn about the conservation efforts and even participate in releasing baby turtles into the sea. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Hikkaduwa: Arrival and leisure
Day 2
Upon arrival in Hikkaduwa, take some time to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach. After satisfying your taste buds, make your way to Unawatuna, a popular beach town located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, known for its beautiful palm-fringed beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant underwater ecosystem. Start your trip by relaxing on the famous Unawatuna Beach, known for its golden sand and calm waters. You can swim, sunbathe, or indulge in water sports like snorkeling, diving, or surfing. Visit Jungle Beach, a secluded beach surrounded by lush greenery. It requires a short hike through a jungle, but the effort is worth it for the tranquil atmosphere and clear waters. Take a trip to the nearby Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 17th-century Dutch fort is a fascinating blend of colonial architecture, historic landmarks, boutiques, cafes, and art galleries.
